KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s online retailer of kitchen furnishing products, Queenspree, has been named the winner of The BrandLaureate SMEs Best Brands Award 2022. The award was presented by SME Corp’s Chief Executive Officer Rizal Nainy during the Award Gala Night on June 2 at Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Also present was Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in Charge of Special Functions, Datuk Mastura Binti Tan Sri Dato' Mohd Yazid
The nominees of The BrandLaureate SMEs Best Brands Award undergo a strict four-phase qualifying and verification process by the foundation’s research committee and board of governors led by seasoned industry executives and renowned brand icons namely Tan Sri Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes, Datuk Jimmy Choo and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad Kama Piah to name a few.

Queenspree is poised to enter the Middle East market by Q3 2022 upon finalising the terms of engagement with a UAE-based company who will help localise and market Queenspree’s products and offerings for the Middle East market through MATRADE’s e-Trade program. Closer to home, Queenspree is also forging business relationships with local retail giant, Sen Heng and several cooperative organisations in its effort to increase brand awareness and market presence.

Queenspree is an online retailer of kitchen furnishing products that leverages on technology and processes to create a convenient and carefree online shopping experience. Founded in July 2019, the company aims to position itself as a one-stop centre for high quality, local and international kitchen furnishing products. It took a big step towards this goal in October 2021 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) of supply with an Italian company based in Milan to on-board more European kitchenware brands on its eCommerce platform.
The BrandLaureate SMEs Best Brands Award adds to the accolades Queenspree has received. This includes the SME and Entrepreneurs Business Awards (SEBA) 2021, earning Queenspree the Fast-Growing SME Award – Most Promising in Retail eCommerce. Earlier this year, Queenspree had also won a US$120,000 (RM500,000) Start up grant from TERAJU, a unit in Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Department that aims to accelerate the growth of high potential local start-ups.
